fayes cutest cat contest 2012

thank you all so much for all of your cat photos and stories each and every one warmed my heart a little. but in the end there has to be a winner and this years cat is lightning. please stop by Fayes and retrieve your prize basket and enjoy playing with your feline friend.

Lightning for the most part, is a pretty chill cat. We got him from the spca about eight years ago. He liked playing fetch with heart shaped toys.

Its rumored that once she was named. Some say her name is Christina Ricci. Some say her name is Oldsmobile. She’s also been called Grandma Death. She is the Crypt Keeper of cats and we call her OLD KITTY.

She was once hairless, but unlike humans has grown hair in her old age. Where it grows though is completely random.

She is stone deaf. One of her eyes is broken. She walks with a lean. She screams at me every morning for her breakfast. Her breath is stinky… But all she wants is love. You could hold her all day long but it still won’t be enough. Vote for her cause she probably won’t be around next year.

This is Dr. Mindbender but we call him Bad Cat because he is a bad cat. He recently decided to eat a rock that had to be surgically removed from his lower intestine. I now have a rock that cost me thousands of dollars. But this is what you do if you think you have the cutest cat in the world. 

Other things he does that are bad:

He will drink your water because he prefers your water to his own.

He will knock things off the counter or table if your not paying attention to him. And yes he knows the things that will break.

He will bite you for attention.

He will eat your hair.

He will climb up the curtains

His arch nemesis is She who shall not be named. He will bite her if you are petting her.

But seriously just look at him. How could you stay mad at that face? He is one handsome cat.

Ok, so no one said that the contestants had to be living. This is the Fat Cat and she died of Lymphoma in March. But don’t be sad, she had a good run. Her favorite thing was licking things and snuggling, and of course eating. She was the Fat cat, and she may have looked like a dirty whoopie cushion and had a coco puff lookin’ mole on her forehead but she was the most sweetest, most snuggliest and of course the most CUTE!

He’s a charmer. Likes: Licking plastic bags, tucking his legs into his body for a good nap, PBR (but must be licked from a finger dipped into it, won’t drink from the bottle or a bowl), the kitchen when the oven’s on, being the center of the party.

Hi there, my pal Susan advised me to submit some pics of my kitties, Toro and Tiny. They were adopted at 4 months from Pets Unlimited, and they are so cute and funny. Toro is a big goofball and his sister is a delicate flower, the Audrey Hepburn of felines.  thanks! - Julie

This photo is a little old, but probably my favorite of Ramen Noodle. Like a typical cat, Noodle loves boxes and will immediately hop in regardless of the size. I left an empty box on the spare desk in my office and didn’t really think about it until I heard Noodle meowing at me. I finally turned around to see her chilling in the box oh so casually. Guess she just wanted to make sure that I saw her because she knew how good she looked.
